An online Baby Store offering great baby & infant products, toys and clothes at low prices with excellent quality.
We provide innovative baby products to enrich babies' lives and at the same time making parent's lives just a bit easier!
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Imaging going to a shopping mall with a pram, a crying baby and a long shopping list in mind. Does that sounds familiar? We hear the cries and frustration of many parents. That's why Babysoft was set up to make it fun & easy for parents to shop within their comfort & convenience at home.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This is our first website. It was setup about 3 years ago.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
We get the idea from the brandname "Microsoft". Since "soft" can be easily associate with baby, the name Babysoft just comes in handy.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
One of our key specialties is Cloth/Soft Books, i.e. books made of non-toxic, padded cloth. These books are perfect for babies because they are difficult to pull apart or tear. They are also safe to leave in your baby's crib since they're soft & padded. Books are important companions to baby's development.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To cater to wider audience, especially those from the West. We can actually offer items at much lower price.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It has been tough work. So far, manage to make ends meet. Hoping to have major breakthrough this year.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
If the business really takes off, we would certainly engage more people to smoothen the process.
What has been your biggest challenge?
It has been technical issues. As both my partner & myself are not that technical savvy, we really have to learn everything about internet marketing from scratch.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Submitting to directory & classified sites.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
It has been 3 years. We plan to make this a life career.
