We have Handmade Items and Great Gift Items.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I was a Ebay seller for over 10 years and decided when they changed thier fees it was time for me to move on. They where making more money off my good then I was.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This is my first website. Its only 2 weeks old.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We live on a mountain in a old Country town and Mercantile just seem to fit with the rest of our store name.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

We plan on keeping our store for along time to come.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes we could handle what ever comes our way. We are hoping for a very successful Business.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Setting up our store. We had it easy on ebay as far as everything was already setup, all we did was add inventory. With the store we have had to learn alot about html and shipping modules.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Well at this time I couldnt say we are just now starting on our advertising due to our site is only 2 weeks old.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Its been 2 weeks and we plan on being here for along time to come.
