MicroSyntra Shopping

Your name?

Jackie

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Online shopping at prices you can afford.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

It was the ability to learn new and different approaches to website development and to be able to effectively market a website.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I launced my first website back in 2005. I'm an international recording artist/instrumental musician. When one of my tunes was accepted by a record label, I found it useful and creative to develop a website that would be relative to the new compilation cd that was soon to be released.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

That one took some deep thinking. I wanted something that was going to be new, but at the same time, I wanted something with a sound of future projection and that is how MicroSyntra came to be.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Although, there are a number of different shopping websites, I found that giving people the option of choosing a different colored background at will, was something that rarely (and if) any other shopping website has in place. Offering such options makes a person feel more in control of there internet experience.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Right now the idea is to keep it for income. But, who know what the future holds. Look at the person who created myspace, I doubt he ever imagined, he would be selling his website for such an enormous amount of money.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

The correct answer for that question is would be gaining more experience and knowledge.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

My site would become more like yahoo and/or google, except... it would have so much more to offer to everyone.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

With out a doubt. Yes indeed.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Mainly, trial and error of newer programs that had an extensive learning curve.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Learning how to be successful at internet marketing, the right way.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Video promotion, back linking, blogging and search engine submissions.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

In the very beginning of the internet age, it seemed to be much easier for someone to be very effective at internet sales, such as the teenage kid who sold homemade cookies on the internet and made a fortune. Now it takes getting more involved with internet marketing on a deeper level.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Ever heard the saying, never give up? MicroSyntra will continue to grow and will always be around for years to come.

Replace this with a question of your own

What improvements would you like see take place (if any) at MicroSyntra.com?
