Gallery of Western and Sports themed Coolers, Western Art and Information about our business
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Customers at craft shows would always ask if we had a website they could go to or refer friends to.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
A few months ago. www.DarBecDesigns.com
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It was the name of our business
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and a lot of our business is based on customer referrals. Our Products are second to none, we don't use cheap plastic inserts or igloo style coolers inside wooden boxes. You get complete custom work with no detail left undone, we use packing grade styrofoam inserts to ensure the drinks stay cold even under the Texas Sun!
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Keep it for Income
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
We've been very successful mainly due to customer satisfaction and referral based businesses.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I am pretty happy with our site.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Since our site is an informational site and we do not accept payments or online orders, I don't think this will be a problem. Our target market is local customers. We do not ship our products at this time due to the size of the products.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Increase in fuel costs have had a direct effect on supply costs.
What has been your biggest challenge?
getting the site built and launched
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
business cards!!!
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Still new so this does not apply yet
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Just a few months since we launched. We plan to keep it up as long as we continue to do business.
Do you enjoy what you do?
YES! We've turned a hobby into a business and the customer feedback has been wonderful. It's so nice to see a customer at a show a year later and have them tell me how much they enjoy using our coolers and how they referred friends to us. It is such a joy, we are really blessed!
